Works better than expected and is reusable - yes, reusable.
This is a wonderful product for removing pet hair from furniture. However, I didn't realize before I bought it that they expect you to throw it away after the container is full. What a waste as the roller is perfectly reusable. Ever the crafty one, I found a way to empty the container without taking the roller off as some have suggested. You can easily pull the lint, pet hair, etc., out of the container by rotating either roller from the center and outwards. You will discover that they are halves. Now with the opening between the rollers exposed, slightly lift one of the rollers open a bit further and gingerly pull the pet hair or lint through the opening. If you have a vacuum cleaner with one of those skinny attachments, suck it out with that. Presto, ready to use again!

At last! An empty and reusable sweeper
I've always liked these sweepers for removing pet hair from furniture, small areas on carpets and even clothing, but the old ones were one-use only. When they were full of hair (maybe 15 minutes if you have a Persian cat that's shedding or a long haired dog) you had to resort to cutting holes in the plastic top to get the contents out and use them again. The plastic edges were kind of sharp so you'd end up having to put heavy tape over them to avoid scratches or cuts. (Way more trouble than it was worth.) Now, with this new model, you just slide a little lever thingy near the bottom to pull the whole top off, empty the contents and put it back together again. Much easier for you and better for the environment as well as your pocketbook if you were throwing them out each time.These sweepers are the best way I've found so far for cleaning pet hair from fabrics or carpet. They are better than the rollers with tape that seem to take half a roll of the sticky tape to clean...

The Corgi Challenge

Awesome!
This is the best solution to pet hair on furniture that I have yet found. It is easy and effective to use. I have purchased one for each room that we sit in, including our screen porch. While I do not think it is supposed to be reused multiple times, I found it is fairly easy to pry off the top and clean out the pet hair and replace it to continue to use the product.By the way, I have 5 cats(3 long-haired) and a golden retriever - so lots of pet hair in my house!

These work GREAT. The single drawback is that they are marketed as disposable (SHAME ON YOU JOHNSON & JOHNSON!). Easy fix: standard crevice tool from your vacuum cleaner fits between the rollers - Viola! Reusable!

This little thing works very well! I first tried it on a coverlet that appeared fairly hair free. Works great, but it's only meant to be used once and tossed
Does anyone at Johnson's Wax actually own a pet with fur that's larger than a hamster? With a couple cats and dogs in the house this works well on the sofa and maybe one chair before the container is completely full of pet hair. That's a lot of money to clean the pet hair off a couple pieces of furniture not to mention all of these things landing up in our landfills. At even half the price if you buy the double pack, if you used one of these things 5 times a week, (Those of you who live with pets know that filling one of these things takes less than 10 minutes) it would cost almost $1,300 a year to keep you supplied with these fabric sweepers. For that kind of money you could replace the couch and chair every year!That said, these fabric sweepers work better than the other rolling or brushing type devices I've tried. The single brush type things don't pick up the hair very well, and the the roller-with-the-sticky-tape-stuff are just plain annoying. This isn't perfect,...

Works Well, but Pledge should MAKE it reusable!
I would probably give this product five stars if not for the fact that it's apparently designed to be disposable. Mine fills up every time I sweep the cat hair from my window seat cushions, so I would be spending a fortune on these things if I actually threw them away when they were full, not to mention the fact that that's about as un-environmentally-sound as it gets. However, I've been using the same one for over two years now, after figuring out on Day One that if the manufacturers weren't going to build in a way to get the fur out, I would make my own. Two minutes with an X-Acto knife and I now had a handy little flap that would allow me to reach in and pull out all the accumulated cat hair and start again. I see from the reviews here that most people have figured out a similar workaround, but it's rather irksome that the product wouldn't be designed to be reusable in the first place.It really does work fantastically well and is the best thing I've found for removing...

Very good product
This works well! The material on the semi-rollers is the same found years ago on German-made lint brushes. Other have commented that it is a waste to thow out the brush after the lint chamber is full, and I agree. BUT you do not ahve to do that. The semi-rollers can simply be pulled out of their anchors, granting access to the lint chamber. The only reason I do not give it a five is that if you sweep small items the friction moves the item around so you really have to hold onto it. Very good product!

I have three dogs and this product simply does the trick. Before I purchased this product, I felt like I was always vacuuming my couches. Now that I have this product, it literally takes me about 5-10 minutes to clean three couches. I would highly recommend this product to any pet owner.

Fur Fighter to the rescue !!!
1st of all... If you have hard to get rid of pet hair.....BUY THIS !!!We have a bulldog, pug and a kitty and believe it or not it is our bully who is the problem. He leaves his stiff white hair stuck in fabric EVERYWHERE..... I have used my vaccuum and lint rollers and get most of it, but not all of it. I searched this product out, bought it and was AMAZED how easy, quickly and thoroughly in picks up EVERY pet hair.It isn't sticky like pet roller tape. It is a piece of some kind of secret, plastic like fabric and you can move it any which way you like over your furniture or fabric and it just picks up everything...

Furfighters do indeed do what's expected. They pick up lots of pet hair.However, they fill up very fast, and, need to be changed often.Glad to see the review that suggested washing, which works fine, and cuts back on the number of refills.

Re-use sheet by vacuuming
Re-use a single Fur-Fighter sheet several times by vacuuming off the fur! The strips that hold the sheet to the handle are strong enough that the sheet does not come off even though my central vac suction is pretty strong. I just hold the vacuum tube's opening at an angle and it pulls the fur right off. No mess and less trash. I have 3 small dogs and the product works great to pick up their fur. I was dismayed that the sheet filled up quickly, (although not surprised considering the surface area that needs to be de-furred) so this is a nifty trick to extend the product's use.

WOW!
I never write reviews, but I just had to on this one! We have a matching couch and lounge chair set in our living room that has gone unused, by humans that is, for quite a while, and had accumulated quite a bit of cat hair. I tried vacuuming it off, with no luck. I went to Walmart to find something that takes pet hair off and found the Scotch Fur Fighter. I'm embarrassed to say, there was SO much cat hair on my furniture so I was so sure that nothing would ever work. After only using 3 of the pads, I successfully removed practically every piece of hair and dust off of a couch, two pillows, a lounge chair, and a large foot stool. If you have an animal that loves nice comfy furniture then you MUST buy one of these!!!

Amazing
I have struggled with my pug's mink-like hair since my little dear entered my life. This is the first tool I have ever recommended to pick up the hair. Since pug's hairs are so straight and relatively fine, it becomes embedded very quickly. Nothing has been able to pick up the hair from our couch like this product. Absolutely amazing.
